A two-part series on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human rights, developed by the UN Global Compact and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights B-Tech Project.
This series, hosted by the UN Global Compact Academy, brings together businesses, investors, civil society and human rights experts to explore the real-world impacts of artificial intelligence on human rights—and the urgent need for its responsible development and deployment.
We will hold two sessions:
The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) celebrate their 15th anniversary this year. The UN Human Rights Council endorsed the UNGPs unanimously, marking the first time that, at an international forum, the duties of States, the responsibilities of companies, and access to remedies were agreed upon.
Shift, the leading center of expertise on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, is hosting webinars to review what the EU Omnibus Simplification Package (OSP) changes mean in practice for how companies should report on sustainability issues and conduct due diligence.
