Marja Innanen appointed as Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Finland
Marja Innanen has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Finnish local network of the UN Global Compact.
Innanen will be responsible for overseeing the operations and ongoing development of UN Global Compact Network Finland, as well as managing stakeholder relations and international cooperation related to the UN corporate sustainability initiative in Finland.
According to the Chairman of the Board of UN Global Compact Network Finland Sami Lundgren, Innanen was selected to the role due to her substantial experience and drive towards promoting sustainable development, in addition to her strong vision for advancing the operations of UN Global Compact in Finland.
Innanen will be taking on the role of Executive Director after working as a Chief Specialist of Sustainable Development in the Prime Minister’s Office and as the Deputy Secretary General for the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development. Previously she has also worked as a consultant and researcher within the field of sustainable development, which has provided her with diverse expertise and extensive networks.

Innanen will be taking on the role of Executive Director starting 1 April 2022.
