Former Vice-President of the European Parliament and a long-term MEP, Heidi Hautala took part in drafting key legislation in the field of corporate sustainability, namely the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the Deforestation Regulation. After her parliamentary work, Heidi Hautala has continued to promote responsible business conduct in different arenas.
Vicky Sins is the Head of Climate at the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA), a global NGO driving systematic change through corporate accountability. Vicky leads the corporate climate mitigation, just transition and adaptation strategy where she heads up collective multi stakeholder engagement efforts to drive the implementation of corporate transition plans to contribute to the achievements of the Paris Agreement goals.
The Nordic Meeting 2025 moderator Gerald Berger has been working on sustainable development issues for the past 25 years. He has long-time experience with moderating and designing events on sustainability-related topics in the form of conferences, workshops, seminars, peer learning exchanges. Gerald was managing for 12 years the European Sustainable Development Network (ESDN), which is the largest network on sustainability strategies and policies in Europe.
Inka Musta is a Sámi politician and sustainability expert, and a member of the Finnish Sámi Parliament. She is the founder and CEO of Luontoa Ltd, a consultancy working at the intersection of business, nature, and Indigenous rights. Her work focuses on responsible land use, biodiversity, and integrating sustainability with respect for Indigenous communities and knowledge.
Tobias Thorleifsson has nearly 20 years of experience working on climate solutions in both the private and public sector. He has lead a number of international polar expeditions, been an advisor to the Norwegian Ministry of the Environment and a number of institutional finance organizations in the Nordics. After co-founding a number of climate tech initiatives from 2017 he joined Kongsberg Group in 2024 to take the lead on the Groups climate transition plan.
Satu Kuoppamäki is an experienced sustainability professional with a background in both the financial sector and the retail sector. Satu Kuoppamäki has been the Chair of the Board of UNGC Finland from 2024 and a member of the Board for several years before that. She is Head of ESG at OP Financial Group, responsible for retail banking's ESG issues.
Jaana Hirsikangas is working as the executive director of UN Women’s National Committee in Finland. UN Women is the United Nations agency for gender equality and women’s rights. Through her academic background in social sciences and diverse relevant work experience from four different continents, Hirsikangas has vast understanding on international development, gender issues and sustainable development.
Deniz Yordanov is a Manager for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) at Essity, a global hygiene and health company. As a member of Essity’s global DEI team, Deniz oversees the award-winning initiative, Courageous Conversations, which aims to raise DEI awareness among employees. Additionally, Deniz manages Essity’s global inclusive leadership offerings and Inclusive Procurement strategy. Deniz is dedicated to reinforcing an inclusive workplace and promoting sustainable development and gender equality.
Heidi has over 15 years of experience working on anti-corruption, business ethics and human rights in the private sector. The last 10 years she has worked for Statkraft, the largest generator of renewable energy in Europe. She now holds a leading role in defining the company’s human rights policy and due diligence practices, focusing on salient issues such as impacts on local communities and in particular indigenous peoples, and decent working conditions. She has extensive experience working with renewable energy development projects and contractors in a hands-on and practical way, including specific case handling and issue management.
Matti Kahra works as a climate expert at Nordea. His responsibilities include strategic development, operational environment analysis and the implementation of the bank's climate strategy. Matti's work history in climate and energy dates back to 2010, and he has worked in various ministries and the private sector.
Sami Lundgren heads Responsibility at UPM, a team managing corporate level sustainability topics at UPM's global network. Expert in sustainability with sound track record from over 30 years in industry.
Anniina Virta-Toikka is currently working as a VP, Sustainability at Konecranes steering climate, circular economy and human rights work forward. She focuses on building future sustainability agenda where future ambition is reached with innovating new opportunities and clarifying processes. Before Anniina has been working with environmental management in different industries.
Camilla Goldbeck-Löwe, VP Sustainability at Epiroc AB, has long experience of integrating sustainability into business operations for multinational companies, balancing the business aspect of sustainability with compliance requirements. Camilla has also worked at Ericsson AB, driving human rights issues and the Swedish Government Offices in Sweden, China and Kosovo. Camilla has almost three decades of international sustainability work and is an experienced board member.
