UN Global Compact Local Networks of the UK and US are organizing a webinar series on child labour in supply chains.
There is a high prevalence of child labour in the informal economy, in both urban and rural settings. Child labour is particularly widespread in agriculture, artisanal mining, manufacturing, street work, and domestic work.
While monitoring the informal sector is challenging, it remains essential for all companies to mitigate these risks in their supply chain. Focusing on supply chains helps identify where and how the formal business sector intersects with the informal sector.
This webinar will consider the connection between child labour in informal contexts and formal activities further along the chain. The event is the second installment of a five-part webinar series, and is open and free of charge for all.
This webinar takes place on Zoom on Tuesday 29th of June at 5:45–7 pm Finnish time.
