Internship opportunity at UN Global Compact Finland Programmes Team

Do you want to be involved in activating a diverse network of businesses to advance sustainable development? UN Global Compact Network Finland is looking for a Programmes Intern to support our programme development and delivery.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Programmes Intern is responsible for supporting the coordination and management of accelerator and other programmes on various sustainability topics (eg. climate, nature, and social responsibility). Your tasks include, for example, project management, event and workshop production, communications and other administrative tasks related to programme coordination.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to participate in developing our sustainability accelerator programmes and delivering successful learning experiences to participating companies under the guidance of UN Global Compact Network Finland programme leads. The tasks related to this position may be adjusted based on your interests.
This position includes cooperation with the UN Global Compact headquarters and other local networks in the Nordic countries and around the world. You will gain a unique perspective and networking opportunities with Finnish companies and various corporate responsibility professionals.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Requirements:
- Passion for corporate responsibility topics, such as climate, nature, and social responsibility
- Professional proficiency in English
- Motivation for project management and administrative tasks
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- University / University of Applied Sciences student or recent graduate
We appreciate:

- Organizational skills
- Some experience in communications, project management and/or event and workshop production
You will join our small and efficient team at our office in central Helsinki.
The internship will start in mid-August – early September 2023 depending on your availability.
The employment relationship is fixed term for 3–6 months including a 1-month trial period. We will give priority to applicants who are entitled to receive financial support from their university for the internship. This is a paid internship opportunity (1500 EUR per month).
