Learn what business can do to support and foster women-led climate solutions.

Climate change is a global crisis, affecting every human around the world. However, systemic barriers hinder women to effectively prepare for and respond to climate impacts, and figures indicate that 80% of people displaced by climate change are women.

Attempts to ensure climate justice and lasting solutions without including the voices of half of the world’s population are doomed to fail. Companies that recognize climate change as a gendered issue, can play an important role developing climate resilience solutions with a focus on women.

During this session, you will learn:

  • Why women are disproportionally affected by the climate crisis
  • In which ways you can practically take an intersectional lens at climate justice
  • How to ensure gender-balanced voices, and advance women’s leadership in traditionally underrepresented areas such as STEM fields
  • What you can do to support, foster and scale women-led climate solutions

This event is organized by the UN Global Compact Academy on 14 October at 4 PM EEST
