Join this Academy session to learn about the incentives and best practices for companies to ensure a living wage for all.
Ensuring a living wage for all is an essential aspect of decent work and an important way for companies to reduce their impact on working poverty. According to the International Labour Organization, almost one in five workers worldwide did not earn enough to lift themselves and their families out of extreme or moderate poverty in 2019.
Join this Academy session to learn from experts what actions should be taken for companies to reach the target of 100% of employees across the organization earning a living wage. This target is one of 10 benchmarks proposed as part of SDG Ambition, a six-month accelerator supporting companies in integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into core business management.
During this session, you will learn to understand the role of living wage in companies, both as a contribution to decent work and as a business benefit. Experts and peer companies will introduce resources, tools and case examples supporting the design and implementation of an effective wage strategy.
This English-speaking session is held on Tuesday 7 December at 09:30 AM ET / 4:30 PM EET. Participation is free and open to all.
